Cremation Vaults

Designed to protect the urn when it is to be interred in the ground, a cremation vault is usually made of concrete, and may feature plastic linings, decorative elements, tongue and groove seals and metal reinforcements.

Maple

Maple is valued for its strength, wear resistance and beauty, making it a popular choice for flooring, especially for heavily trafficked areas such as a ballroom. But it’s also a popular material used in making caskets. Maple is evenly textured with a natural luster. While the grain is usually straight, it can also be wavy or curly.

Pine

Pine has been popular since colonial times. There are nearly 100 species of pine, ranging in color from pale yellow to light brown. Though not technically classified as a “hardwood,” it is considered to be a durable wood, usually straight grained with an even texture.

Ash

Ash is a heavy, hard, strong, stiff wood that is also highly shock-resistant.Its color ranges from nearly white (sapwood) to light brown to pale yellow streaked with brown. It's straight-grained with a coarse, even texture. Ash is used to manufacture caskets, sporting equipment (e.g., baseball bats), furniture, flooring, cabinetry, paneling, doors and other construction, and is also particularly well-suited for food and liquid containers since it has no taste or odor.
